Seekewa

Seekewa is an agri-fintech startup based in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. Seekewa is the first crowdfunding platform that allows people and organizations to make in-kind contributions to small agricultural projects in Africa.

Through its innovative e-voucher system valued in points, Seekewa raise funds from supporters around the world on behalf of farmers. Then, Seekewa provides them with all the resources they need to carry out the projects (tools, inputs, technical assistance, and sales). Supporters can track project progress (updates and metrics) in real-time through their personal dashboard. Once the projects are completed, Seekewa helps farmers to market their crops so they can repay the interest-free loan to supporters, who get back their points and then can help other projects.

Organizations (private companies, foundations, institutions, NGOs) and individuals around the world can directly contribute to the agricultural projects in Africa through our platform. Thanks to the recursive model, with a minimal contribution, contributors can support an undefined number of projects in Africa. Seekewa gives priority to helping women, who make up 70% of our beneficiaries. Seekewa only supports food agriculture (fruits, vegetables, cereals, poultry, fishery) and promotes sustainable agriculture.
